其實CNN原文是:
One Rafale fighter jet operated by the Indian Air Force was downed by Pakistan, in what would mark the first time that one of the sophisticated French-made warplanes has been lost in combat.
那是假設語氣.記者拿照片問法國人.法國人回答.若發生.則為該機.第一次被擊落。
這位法國官員接著告訴美國有線電視新聞網（CNN），法國當局正在調查一夜之間是否有多架「陣風」戰鬥機被巴基斯坦擊落。
CNN還補充:
在印控克什米爾地區墜毀的飛機零件的照片顯示，該零件的標籤是法國製造商，但專家表示，無法判斷該零件是否來自陣風戰鬥機。該飛機的法國製造商達梭航空尚未回應 CNN 的置評請求。
換句話說.還是有待確定.
倒是巴國國防部長也說它的消息來源是:

看起來不止如此喔！CNN宣稱是法國高階情報官員告訴他們戰機被打下來了，只是阿三嘴硬不承認。
"A high-ranking French intelligence official told CNN that Pakistan downed one Rafale fighter jet operated by the Indian Air Force (IAF), in what would mark the first time that one of the sophisticated French-made warplanes has been lost in combat. Pakistan had claimed to have shot down five IAF jets in retaliation for Indian strikes, including three Rafales. Indian officials are yet to respond to the claim."
