🇩🇪 Arab migrants are systematically targeting gay men in Offenbach, Western Germany, beating them until they require hospitalization.
At least seven victims were lured through dating apps to secluded meeting spots. Instead of meeting their date, they were ambushed by groups of masked attackers who used pepper spray and beat them so severely that several required hospital treatment.
In at least five cases, victims described the attackers as young men aged 15 to 20 of Arab or Middle Eastern appearance. Investigators are examining whether the attacks were motivated by anti-gay hatred and whether an Islamist motive may have played a role.
One 21-year-old victim said he arranged a meeting through a dating app before being surrounded by several masked men. He was held down, sprayed with pepper spray, and repeatedly punched and kicked. A passerby eventually called an ambulance.
Police say the attacks followed a similar pattern and are continuing to investigate whether the same group was responsible for all of them.
