我終於有點搞清楚Hero4所謂的藍牙系統了....

看起來是待機時WIFI會關閉省電,但是傳輸時還是得靠WIFI,但是操作時開著WIFI應該還是很耗電吧...?!

Let's Clarify!
Bluetooth is only used on iOS during the INITIAL PAIRING PROCESS to help isolate the connection, save battery life during pairing, and to make the camera more easily discover-able to the device/user
Once the initial pairing process is setup, the GoPro iOS App switches from Bluetooth back to Wi-Fi, it does NOT"Connect + Control" using Bluetooth. This is because Wi-Fi has better bandwidth, security, and range than Bluetooth.
On your Android device, simply initally pair using Wi-Fi and the connection will be retained when you are ready to use "Connect + Control".
In summary the end result is that both the iOS and Android App from GoPro still continue to use Wi-Fi for the connection between the camera and your smart device.

Bluetooth connectivity on the Hero4 is solely for extending battery life while WiFi is on.
It takes much less battery to power a bluetooth signal compared to a WiFi signal. So the wifi connection is off while the camera is off but in wireless mode, and the bluetooth remains on so that the iOS can send a signal to the bluetooth to turn the WiFi signal on.
The only advantage of having an iOS operate a GoPro remotely is a slightly extended battery life.
