前提是這樣的,我們夫妻原本要利用雙十連假前往新加坡、檳城旅遊,但很不湊巧的,我的阿嬤在我們出發當天早上離開了。
老人家病危了約一週,雖說我們先前就有心裡準備可能無法成行,但也沒認真查能否退票,是到了阿嬤離開後的第三天,也就是去程航段沒搭已經過了三天,空檔滑了一下手機,發現直系親屬病危、往生,廉價航空是有一定的空間可以給予辦理退票的,索性試了一下。
我先是查了 “REFUND",確認自己符合第二個退費標準(直系親屬死亡)

我就利用 e-mail us 的功能,在網頁上
簡單說明我申請退費的原因(阿嬤離開的日期)、並寫清楚訂位代號,附件放上
1. 我們夫妻的護照資料(拍照圖檔)
2. 阿嬤的死亡證明書(拍照圖檔,重點標示英文在旁邊)
3. 戶口名簿or戶籍謄本(拍照圖檔,圈出我阿嬤、我爸、我、我先生的親屬關係)
(我想說酷航是新加坡公司,應該有會看中文的,我就沒申請英文版,也真的...讓我pass)
寄出申請。

隔天(10/15)我就收到客服回的e-mail,說已收到申請,但是沒有附件資料(因為檔案太大),所以我改用e-mail的方式,把圖檔回覆給他們。
10/19我收到受理ok的回覆,並說明
We have reviewed your request and we would like to offer you a refund in a form of a travel voucher excluding any amounts for third party products and services for the unused fees and fares paid for booking reference --
This voucher will be valid for twelve (12) months upon issuance and the person's name on the voucher must be listed as the booking contact, or be a passenger travelling on the new booking made with the voucher. Voucher name is listed in the order of First name, Last name, additionally, If the value of the itinerary exceeds the voucher value, you must pay the difference with a credit card.
Do note that the processing time for a refund will take within 5 weeks.
To acknowledge this refund arrangement, you can either reply to this email within the next 20 days or reach us via https://help.flyscoot.com/s/email-us.
---簡單來說,他們會以代金券(voucher)的方式退費,有效期12個月,但僅退機票費用,第三方的費用如信用卡手續費等等,是不退的,代金券可以是原本訂位者的名字,也可以轉讓給他人(但e-mail代金券號碼給你時,還是會mail到申請退費者的mail)。
代金券在有效期限內可以在酷航網站上折抵對等金額的機票費用。
收到此信件後20天內回信確認ok,接受這個offer, 五週內可收到退費的代金券代號。
我在10/23 回覆直接退在原訂票人名下即可。
11/6 收到第一組訂位代號的代金券 。(但中間系統有自動mail提醒我,資料沒補全,可能是因為我資料是以人工方式e-mail方式補上去的,沒經過系統,為以防萬一,我還是有mail給客服確認狀況)
但怪異的是,我們共有四組代號,偏偏我只受到一組的退款,一直到11/23 我又mail去做確認,隔兩天11/25 四個訂位代號的退款代金券就全部發過來了。
酷航的退票處理,反應還算快速,雖然中間偶爾會出槌,但寫e-mail反應,最慢2天內都會回覆。
