My is Black with Optional White Stripes and Safty Package ( ASC, Tire monitor, ABS, EAS & I also added Optional Factory Installed Alarm System). Pre order in Dec. 2007. Finally, It arrrived in Taichung 4/29.
Yesterday 5/5, My BMW Sales try to get my Red Plates & got rejected by the Motor Vehicle Registration Dept. Reason was "No Motor Bike I.D." So call Data dot.
My Sales also told me, They Claim the 2008 R1200R has no Data Dot on the bike( but supposedly has it on the bike when it is out of BMW factory???).
Now, I'm waiting for BMW AG to send the Data Dot from Australia to BMW Taipei??? ( that is what my sales told me)
Any way, I was so excited to get my bike with the red plate on it. Now I have to wait until next week.

I got one Main Big key and one black Plastic key & 2 remote. Is this what you got too?

Wow. Nice, you got yourself a good BMW Bike Sales, because your sales have prepare the Data dot paint before the red plate process.
One BMW company two feelings. One Feeling is
and My is
... Heaven and Hell.How come my Sales is telling me that my Data Dot is coming from Australia. and have to wait until some time next week. SO STRANGE???
If you don't mind, can you ask your Sales to see Taipei BMW has this problem or not. I even wrote to BMW AG Germany. Probely this issue is not their problem either.
Have a good time on your New Bike. I just Rode mine this afternoon. Feels gooood, But with the temporary plate feel not sooo good.
