Glass ceiling is why so many of us have moved back to Asia. Just a quick tip - Taiwan is not a good place to be for finance.
If you want "Asia light", Singapore and HK are both good choices. The type of work would be different but the quality and complexity of work are comparable to NY or London. However, if you want real challenges and advancement, try China (though you are arguably a few years late to the game).
