The Celtics made a last-minute pitch to Kevin Durant's camp on Sunday night, sources told Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders.
This should surely add some fuel to the Durant free agent fires. After CSNNE's A. Sherrod Blakely reported that Durant was still "seriously considering" Boston as his next basketball home, Celtics fans are holding out (false?) hope that KD shocks the world and chooses their team. For what it's worth, beat writer Adam Himmelsbach reports the C's are "unsure if they're still in the mix" for Durant. We'll find out soon enough.
