The Celtics have agreed in principle to deal Rajon Rondo to the Mavericks in exchange for Brandan Wright, Jameer Nelson, Jae Crowder and two draft picks, according to ESPN.com.
It's certainly not a deal like the one the Jazz received for Deron Williams, the Nuggets got for Carmelo Anthony or the Magic pulled off for Dwight howard, but there are assets here. Of course, the Celtics lost a lot of their leverage because of Rondo's poor play and ACL tear, so it's not a bad deal. As for Rondo's fantasy value, he's in major trouble. He is likely going to have to give up some ball-handling responsibilities, so he is likely to lose his current lead for assists per game. Rondo has only held No. 129 value on the season in standard leagues, so it's going to be awfully tough to deal him.
