After the Warriors trounced Cleveland in Game 2 of the Finals to come within two wins of a repeat title, a reporter asked Draymond Green if the win "solidified" the Warriors place among the all-time great teams. Green gave a very sensible response.
"No, we've got two more wins before you can even consider saying that. I don't really look at are you the best team of all time, are we the best team of all time? Because I think it's all subjective. To say we're better than the Showtime Lakers, how can you say that? We never played them."
Klay Thompson, though, interrupted and took a shot at his father Mychal's old championship-winning, saying the 2016 Warriors would beat the Showtime Lakers.

ShowTime湖人會被勇士三分射死。
「我們（ShowTime湖人）一場比賽進8記三分球，」老湯普生說，
「他們（勇士隊）一節進8顆。三分線得分勇士可能是50比15壓倒我們，所以我們怎麼可能贏？」
老湯支持兒子的看法。「我認為他們會打敗我們。我們跟不上他們如此快速得分的節奏。」
老湯同時將兩隊的陣容做了對位比較。他認為兒子和「魔術」強生可以打平；柯瑞勝過史考特（Byron Scott），卓雷蒙格林壓過A.C.格林（A.C. Green），伊戈達拉強過他自己。而ShowTime湖人的渥錫（James Worthy）和賈霸（Kareem Abdul-Jabbar）則勝過巴恩斯及波格特。
