湖人隊方面宣布，球隊控衛NASH由於背部神經痛反復發作，他將缺席2014-15賽季的所有比賽。
NASH在一份聲明中坦言，他一直都在努力工作，試圖讓自己保持健康，他表示重返球場是他本賽季的首要目標，他很遺憾自己目前做不到這點了。
“我會繼續在這段休息時間裡支持我的球隊，同時也會專注於我的長期健康。”NASH說道。
對於NASH的這次傷病，湖人隊總經理米奇-庫普切克也做出了聲明。
“就如同我們為自己和我們的球迷感到遺憾一樣，我們更為NASH感到遺憾。我們知道他在過去兩年中工作得有多努力，為的就是讓他的身體能適應嚴酷的NBA比賽。”庫普切克說道。
庫普切克表示，NASH是一名完美的職業球員，他們非常感謝納什做出的努力。

Steve Nash Ruled out for Season With Back Injury

Los Angeles Lakers guard Steve Nash has been ruled out for the season with a back injury, putting the two-time NBA MVP's career in doubt.
The Lakers and Nash announced their decision Thursday, less than a week before the start of the 40-year-old Nash's 19th NBA season.
Nash played in just 15 games last season with nerve root irritation, but had high hopes for a comeback season after several months of rehabilitation.
Instead, the Canadian point guard strained his back while carrying bags several days ago. Nash and the Lakers apparently determined he couldn't return this season.
Nash won two MVP awards with the Phoenix Suns, but he has played in just 65 games since the Lakers traded four draft picks for him in 2012. His contract ends next summer.
