傳奇落幕！

Basketball Hall of Famer Gregg Popovich will no longer coach the San Antonio Spurs and is transitioning to a full-time role as the team's president of basketball operations, the team announced Friday.

Mitch Johnson, who was named acting head coach after Popovich suffered a mild stroke in November, now takes over head coaching duties on a permanent basis.

史上最多勝！Popovich, 76, began his Spurs career as an assistant coach under Larry Brown in 1988, serving in that role for four seasons before a brief stint under Don Nelson with the Golden State Warriors. He joined San Antonio's front office in 1994 and took over as head coach in December 1996, when, as general manager, he fired Bob Hill after a 3-15 start and took over on the bench. After San Antonio missed the playoffs that season and landed the No. 1 pick, taking Tim Duncan, Popovich led the Spurs to 22 consecutive playoff seasons from 1998 to 2019, including winning at least 50 games in 18 straight campaigns.

The legendary coach is the NBA's career wins leader with 1,422 regular-season victories and guided the team to five NBA championships. He is also a three-time NBA Coach of the Year winner, tied with Nelson and Pat Riley for the most in league history. He ranks third in career playoff wins as a coach and is one of five coaches to win at least five titles, along with Phil Jackson (11), Red Auerbach (nine), John Kundla (five) and Riley (five).

The Washington Wizards are trading Kelly Olynyk to the San Antonio Spurs for Malaki Branham, Blake Wesley and a 2026 second-round pick, sources told ESPN on Tuesday.

The second-round pick will be the least favorable of Dallas, Philadelphia, Oklahoma City's selections in 2026.

The deal gives the Spurs another big man after the free agent signing of Luke Kornet as they look to add more depth behind superstar center Victor Wembanyama.

Olynyk shot a career-high 42% on 3-pointers last season and has shot 41% on catch-and-shoot 3s over the last three years, according to GeniusIQ. Olynyk also recorded shooting splits of 52% from from the field, 40% from 3 and 83% from the free throw line over the last three seasons.

我認為 Wembanyama 沒有必要打季前的熱身賽，上去跑一跑是沒問題，但參與球隊的訓練更重要。

休賽季，馬刺找來兩位備用中鋒，由於，Kornet 和 Olynyk 是新成員，讓新舊成員能順利的配合也很需要，因此，讓新的長人多與團隊磨合更迫切。

很多馬刺迷看好新賽季能闖入季後賽，但我覺得打季後賽不是現階段的最大目標。像是確認 Stephon Castle 的定位，和找到 Dylan Harper 的使用說明書，也是新賽季的重點。而 Wemby 的重點是保持健康。

依我的評估，馬刺的先發只有 3 個位置是穩定的，那就是 De'Aaron Fox、Victor Wembanyama 和 Harrison Barnes。而 Devin Vassell、Keldon Johnson、Stephon Castle 、Julian Champagnie 與 Jeremy Sochan，都還在等 Mitch Johnson 與馬刺團隊做通盤考量。人手一多，要如何安排時間與組合，就是學問了，那就是贏球的化學效應。
