Kerr joined 95.7 The Game's "Damon & Ratto" on Friday, where he was asked if he believes the Warriors (26-26) have enough talent to defend their 2021-22 championship.
"I still believe that we can do this. And I tell the players that almost every day and it's authentic," Kerr said. "We do have things we gotta improve on and we're down to 30 games left in the season, so we need to take those steps now. But I still feel like we can do it. I think our team is not afraid of anybody. I think given our experience and our history in the playoffs, our guys have a ton of confidence.

為了本季衝擊總冠軍，勇士還是賣了 James Wiseman。更精準的說，是清出薪資空間，讓 Gary Payton II 回到了勇士。
板凳深度以及防守關門的能力一直是勇士本季的大麻煩，如今，在 Payton II 回歸後，可望獲得了解決。
Payton II 、Jordan Poole 和 Donte DiVincenzo 這三小的排列組合，可以讓 Kerr 更彈性的調度。而 JaMychal Green 越大越融入勇士體系下，也讓 Kevon Looney 以外的中鋒，有了一些保障。
現在，勇士還可以處理好的是奇兵 Anthony Lamb 和 Ty Jerome 的合約。Jerome 還有 17 場可用，但 Lamb 近日就較吃緊，如果要多用，就得趕快簽新約，讓他可以走更長晚，到季後賽。Lamb 在短期火力支援的本事，勇士球團應該是很值得期待。他也會是替補 Draymond Green 或 A. Wiggins的一個重要的前鋒球員。
