Oklahoma City Thunder star and 2025 NBA champion Chet Holmgren has agreed to a fully guaranteed five-year maximum rookie contract extension that could reach $250 million, agent Bill Duffy of WME Basketball told ESPN on Wednesday morning.
After missing three months during the season because of a hip injury, Holmgren returned in February and came back stronger to help lead the Thunder and their young core to the NBA title. Holmgren's deal does not include a player option or team option.

首先看內部，三大王牌的薪情已抵定，三名核心不變，就穩拿季後賽資格。再來，主要的綠葉部份，Isaiah Hartenstein、Luguentz Dort 與 Alex Caruso 的合約都至少還有 2 年，這對雷霆衝擊西區前段班相當的有利。
最後是傷病因素，目前尚未有球星或副手有傷病傳出，六大主力外的雜魚也沒異動消息，像是 Jaylin Williams 也續約了，Isaiah Joe、Aaron Wiggins 和 Kenrich Williams 的約也是到 2 年後。
綜合以上的內部穩定，我推估雷霆再拿 2 冠的機率很高，但不是沒有難度或風險。
到 2027 ~ 28 後，內部出現人員異動或老化現象，雷霆整體實力產生了變化，奪冠機率就有下降的可能。人事異動情形，這全賴 Sam Presti 的慧眼。
外部因素是自由球員的動向，產生了外部實力的消長。西區的金塊就是雷霆連霸之路最大的絆腳石，擁有了 K.D 的火箭若不能衝上雷霆隊之上，恐難以威脅雷霆。因為，金塊隊是以舊班底，再往上增加了深度，且 Jokic 較為恐怖。倘若火箭整合不順，暫且可排除爭冠行列。爭冠的黑馬是獨行俠，千萬別小看 Flagg 帶來的影響力。
灰狼和湖人也有一較高下的可能，但深度不足，要看球星的蛻變情形。兩年之後，要看 Wemby 的變態程度，等他接管 NBA ，雷霆隊就要傷腦筋了。
東區在賽爾蒂克冠軍班底解體後，形成了尼克與騎士獨走的可能大增，聲勢不明朗，都還要再觀察。魔術則是太過年輕，溜馬則是元氣大傷。東區的威脅反不如西區來得大。
How many rings can OKC's big 3 win ？ 我覺得就是 3，也就是接下來的 2 年，若錯過了，形勢大壞，就是今年的這一戒。
