He emphasized the traffic infraction—running a red light while following the Taiwanese delegation’s convoy—was solely about maintaining surveillance, not a direct effort to intimidate or physically harm the delegation


However, Bartovský also stressed that separate from this violation, the Czech Military Intelligence uncovered a broader plan orchestrated by operatives from China’s embassy. This plot aimed to stage a “demonstrative kinetic action” — essentially a physical confrontation or staged car collision — though it was halted at the planning phase and never executed
