Taiwan needs to use English as the official language.

After this last election, it's clear that Taiwanese people wants their independence strongly. To become successful in this matter, I have give it a long and good thought. First, Taiwan must abandon the Chinese language to cut tides from China. This will benefit greatly to Taiwan because Taiwan is not a English friendly country therefore Taiwan is missing out on a lot of Western tourism opportunities. If China wants limit their citizens coming Taiwan, than Taiwan should get it's tourists elsewhere.Taiwan should target U.S. and Europe as the pimary source. Once this is done Taiwan can further drift away from China and gain stronger ties with U.S. and Europe.
Being a English speaking country not only opening doors for tourism but also will greatly improve Taiwan's average income. India has a lot of jobs that's given to them because they speaks English. A lot of U.S. companies outsource their computer related jobs to India. I am sure that Taiwanese youngster are very capable of these task too, they are only missing out on the language. If you are in the computer fields, you have to master the English language if you want to get far.
I am confident that Taiwanese people's friendly attitude toward homosexual will gain a lot of Western support, just like Thailand. Thailand have sexual tourist industries to support their economy, and ook at the president of Taiwan and who is she kidding, everyone knows that she is gay. Next, Taiwan should rally to become the 51st State of the United States. This has no leg before but with the tension between the two super power, the U.S. Congress might give this a serious thought.
