Here’s LSE’s statement regarding President Tsai Ing-Wen’s PhD.
“The London School of Economics and Political Science and the University of London can confirm that Tsai Ing-Wen completed her thesis and was correctly awarded a PhD in Law in 1984.
“Dr Tsai Ing-wen recently provided the LSE Library with a facsimile copy of the thesis, Unfair trade practices and safeguard actions. This is available to view in the LSE library reading room upon request.”

I have a question : whether President Ing-Wen Tsai was LSE PhD awarded or She was only LSE MPhil awarded? I mean " Awarded from LSE" not from any other University. I have this question because all evidence to me is that she never submitted her thesis of PhD in the library of LSE since 1984 util 2018. How come this situation happened to be a PhD of LSE? Could LSE explain about it ? Or this is just a mistake that president Ing-Wen Tsai was only awarded MPhil degree?

結論是，網頁的回覆似乎是避重就輕，並沒有針對我的問題回答問題，只說蔡總統的論文最近有以傳真的方式提供給LSE的圖書館。
但是依據LSE 說蔡總統有拿到"LSE博士學位"這一點，我想要找到為何論文從蔡總統畢業一直到2018年從未提交還能拿到博士學位的原因應該是石沉大海了!
