3.24 失壓續跑輪胎或自撐式輪胎(run flat tyre or self-supporting tyre)
輪胎設計在充氣的模式下運作，且在輪胎不能保持充氣時，於規定的條件下至少能夠行駛指定的距離。此輪胎在無任何附加構件下， 於失壓行駛模式時， 能以任何技術方法(例： 加強胎邊等)維持輪胎基本功能。

差別大概在於時間效益，有一次要參加考試，一出地下室就警告胎壓不足
根本沒時間求救，但因為是RFT所以就從容地去考場，考完試後，再去補胎。

（1）失壓續跑胎耐磨及油耗程度，差了點，價格大概都多個5成左右，上一組也是2到3萬多下課（剩3到4mm其實可以再撐一下)，即使耐磨指數是300...
（2）其它看需求及接受程度（與一般胎）。請google,如alltyretests，tyrereviews等網站及使用評比，如濕抓濕煞是我比較在意的，但得犧牲差一點。
（3）扎釘看運氣（Rft胎我也扎過2次），不要以為慢就沒事...之前有換過3組某大牌（非rft胎)扎了4次釘，同車不同輪，有2次家裡有另台車開沒時間處理，竟然可以3禮拜只掉1psi，當然扎非側邊，但換輪時扯出是穿透長釘，這讓我對這牌（非rft胎)很有信心...但是...
重點來了...有次時速約3-40在市區，經過施工窟窿，竟然沒放警告標誌，不大也來不及避開，但就是波一聲破了，等我靠路邊停車吊車回廠，是的，曾讓我很有信心的這牌非rft輪胎底已經磨到輪框，是新胎，當時是人員滿載，原因是坑裡木頭加釘穿刺，非側邊。
其實不管哪種輪胎不管任何形式破（扎，刮），都很危險，但是剛破的幾秒最危險，讓你撐到路邊，行駛中磨到輪圈全車驚叫的經驗，不想再來一次。
