3.24 失壓續跑輪胎或自撐式輪胎(run flat tyre or self-supporting tyre)
輪胎設計在充氣的模式下運作,且在輪胎不能保持充氣時,於規定的條件下至少能夠行駛指定的距離。此輪胎在無任何附加構件下, 於失壓行駛模式時, 能以任何技術方法(例: 加強胎邊等)維持輪胎基本功能。

"Run flat tyre" or "Self supporting tyre" describes a tyre structure provided with any technical solutions (for example, reinforced sidewalls, etc.) allowing the tyre, mounted on the appropriate wheel and in the absence of any supplementary component, to supply the vehicle with the basic tyre functions, at least, at a speed of 80 km/h and a distance of 80 km when operating in flat tyre running mode."

差別大概在於時間效益,有一次要參加考試,一出地下室就警告胎壓不足
根本沒時間求救,但因為是RFT所以就從容地去考場,考完試後,再去補胎。

當初換胎時,思考許久,因為看過以的影片,才決定續用RFT

(1)失壓續跑胎耐磨及油耗程度,差了點,價格大概都多個5成左右,上一組也是2到3萬多下課(剩3到4mm其實可以再撐一下),即使耐磨指數是300...
(2)其它看需求及接受程度(與一般胎)。請google,如alltyretests,tyrereviews等網站及使用評比,如濕抓濕煞是我比較在意的,但得犧牲差一點。
(3)扎釘看運氣(Rft胎我也扎過2次),不要以為慢就沒事...之前有換過3組某大牌(非rft胎)扎了4次釘,同車不同輪,有2次家裡有另台車開沒時間處理,竟然可以3禮拜只掉1psi,當然扎非側邊,但換輪時扯出是穿透長釘,這讓我對這牌(非rft胎)很有信心...但是...
重點來了...有次時速約3-40在市區,經過施工窟窿,竟然沒放警告標誌,不大也來不及避開,但就是波一聲破了,等我靠路邊停車吊車回廠,是的,曾讓我很有信心的這牌非rft輪胎底已經磨到輪框,是新胎,當時是人員滿載,原因是坑裡木頭加釘穿刺,非側邊。
其實不管哪種輪胎不管任何形式破(扎,刮),都很危險,但是剛破的幾秒最危險,讓你撐到路邊,行駛中磨到輪圈全車驚叫的經驗,不想再來一次。
