Viber釋出一版Nokia Lumia獨享的Viber軟體，支援語音通訊(就是網路電話啦)。
之前版本的Viber都只支援傳訊而已。
Viber在iOS及Android平台之所以受歡迎是因為它待機時省電且只消耗很少的背景數據流量。
Viber甚至可以在不執行的情況下依然可以接到訊息及網路電話(透過Push Notification或C2DM)。
在WP7上表現如何接下來幾天就會有答案囉。
雖然它音質沒有Skype好，但因為省電及不太耗網路流量，
可以像Whatsapp那樣24小時讓它背景執行。
故賣際手機用戶比Skype多許多。
Viber幾個月前開始支援WP手機，不過只能傳訊不能打網路電話，
這次則是持別釋出Lumia專用的完整版Viber，可以打網路電話。
更新: 根據這篇 ，支援網路電話的Lumia專用版Viber是"即將"上架，而非已經上架。

Hi,
I am with Viber Media. Apps like Viber (such as Skype) require more in depth access to the system (known as native code). This requires special permission from Microsoft. It took us a long time to secure this permission (thanks to Nokia). The “exclusivity” to Nokia is imposed by MS, not Nokia. Hopefully they will lift this limitation. We did test Viber on WP7 on Samsung and HTC devices and it works fine.

拖這麼久是因為，要存取到系統底層，因而需要微軟同意。微軟怕這一條路會演變成安全性的漏洞，因此，Viber Media公司花了很多時間處理。
根據文章，Lumia限定是微軟說的，不是Nokia
