我在美國開車開了 18年有了, 我只能跟你說, 碰到沒有左轉線的十字路口, 所有人都跟樓主一樣把車停在路中間, 如果車太多必須等到紅燈的話, 也會跟車主一樣紅燈左轉, 就算警察看到也不會抓.

上面寫著
"The State Patrol advises that it is proper for a driver to pull into the intersection after the light has turned green, wait untill all oncoming traffic has cleared the intersection, then make the turn , on yellow, IF NESCESSARY...
However, the patrol warns that drivers must be alert to th epossibility of an oncoming driver running a red light, or some driver on the intersecting road timing the lights so that his car is already in motion when he gets the green.
Clear the intersection when you can do so safely, but DON'T BACK YOUR VEHICLE unless you have no other alternative or directed to do so by a traffic officer...
也就是說, 在美國可以停在路中間等到燈轉黃了再轉, 但必須要小心對面有人闖紅燈, 如果真的有人闖紅燈的話就只好等到他們過了以後再安全的轉過去 (通常這時已經是紅燈了). 還有千萬不要倒車回去.
