美國人闖的禍(因為GM有所謂世襲的員工薪給退休福利制度,拖垮了整個企業體系,大部分的資金開銷是落在人事成本),這時候還想要瑞典政府拿出錢來(除了美國通過的130多億之外,還希望瑞典政府拿出50多億美金,其中用在SAAB上35億,但是日前卻跟美國政府說還不夠110幾億美金)瑞典這口氣怎麼嚥的下去!錢出了也是白出!更何況GM2006年之前都不太重視SAAB的銷售,許多計畫都落在美國本土車系,再加上沒有適合SAAB的行銷策略,一些新車發展計畫都延後或是胎死腹中....要不是2006年的AeroX獲得好評,不然SAAB可能撐不到現在,許多技術像是現在的XWD,最後的整合都是瑞典SAAB靠著性能特技小組自行撰寫程式,改良整合出這套堪稱完美的四驅系統,沒有意外的話,明年這套系統也會沿用到其他GM車系..........
眼看著瑞典政府不答應挹注資金,GM終於宣布放棄SAAB,爲了避免破產 瑞典SAAB也在第一時間聲請重整

Trollhättan. As a result of GM’s strategic review of the global Saab business the Saab Board announced today that it will file for reorganization under a self-managed Swedish court process to create a fully independent business entity that would be sustainable and suitable for investment.
在經過GM針對Saab全球業務的策略性檢視後，Saab管理當局今天宣佈Saab將向瑞典法院獨自辦理提出重整的法律程序，以建立一個完全獨立的事業體，以持續發展、更適尋找新的投資者
The reorganization is a self-managed, Swedish legal process headed by an independent administrator appointed by the court who will work closely with the Saab management team. As part of the process, Saab will formulate its proposal for reorganization, which will include the concentration of design, engineering and manufacturing in Sweden. This proposal will be presented to creditors within three weeks of the filing. Pending court approval, the reorganization will be executed over a three-month period and will require independent funding to succeed.
重整是一個獨自運作，依瑞典法律程序，將由法院指派一個獨立的單位負責與Saab管理團隊緊密作業，程序的一部份是，Saab將對該單位提出重整計畫，內容包含將設計、工程與製造集中在瑞典境內，重整計畫必須在三週內向債權人提出、待法院同意，重整將至少須三個月執行。
“We explored and will continue to explore all available options for funding and/or selling Saab and it was determined a formal reorganization would be the best way to create a truly independent entity that is ready for investment,” said Jan Ake Jonsson, Managing Director for Saab Automobile. “With an all new 9-5, 9-3X and 9-4X all ready for launch over the next year and a half, Saab has an excellent foundation for strong growth, assuming we can get the funding to complete engineering, tooling and manage launch costs. Reorganization will give us the time and means that help get these products to market while minimizing the liquidity impact of Saab on GM.”
Saab汽車總裁Jan Ake Jonsson說：『我們一直在探索究竟是籌資好，或是出售Saab好，最後我們決定正式的重整，有可能是為創造一個真正獨立事業體最好的方式』，『未來的一年半內，Saab將推出全新的9-3X,9-5與9-4X，Saab擁有一個良好品牌成長壯大的根基，假如我們可以籌得充份資金，這將能挹注新產品所需的完善工程、投產與上市費用。而重整提供我們時間，與可行方式，讓這些新產品得以導入市場，並將現在掛在GM底下可能流於清算的可能降到最低』。
Funding for the restructured company will need to be secured during the reorganization process and will be sought from both public and private sources.
在重整過程中，會同時向公有或私營單位為公司重組進行籌資
Saab will continue to operate as usual and in accordance with the formal reorganization process, with the Government providing some support during this period. The reorganization should have no impact on other GM operations. Details of the progress will be provided as milestones are achieved.
Saab將依照正常的重整程序，維持正常營運，在這段期間內瑞典政府將給予必要的協助，重整並不會影響其他GM運作，若有任何更新、將提供進一步的發展細節。

Q:How much time to you anticipate it will take for Saab to submit a formal plan for reorganisation?
Saab需要多久時間提出正式的重整計畫？
A:Saab, together with the Administrator will formulate an outline proposal for reorganisation of its business. This will be presented at a creditors meeting within three weeks of the filing.

Q:Once a reorganisation plan has been presented, how long will it take to actually complete ? 整頓需要多久時間？
A:Pending court approval, the reorganisation will be executed over a three-month period and will require independent funding to succeed.

Q:Did the Swedish government refuse to provide funding?
瑞典政府要挹注資金給Saab嗎？
A:Negotiations with the Swedish government continue as a possible means of funding. We also are seeking business interests to possibly participate in funding or buying Saab, once reorganization is completed.

Q:Isn’t this simply a bankruptcy by a different name?
重整換個方式說與破產一樣嗎？
A:European laws on reorganisation differ from the Chapter 7/11 process in the U.S., so there’s not a direct parallel. Clearly, Saab is not being declared insolvent in this approach.

Q:What does the reorganisation mean for the Saab dealers?
經銷商或代理商如何看待重整？
A:Saab will continue its normal day-to-day operations with respect to sales, service and parts activities in any of the markets. Our Saab teams will stay focused and will continue to support our retail partners in fighting hard for every sale, fully exploiting every opportunity.

Q:How many Saab dealers are there in Europe? And globally?
Saab有多少經銷商體系？
A:There are around 700 Saab dealers in Europe and globally almost 1100.

Q:Don’t you think that this filing will shy away potential customers from buying Saab models?

A:Saab continues to be a strong brand with Swedish roots that has a compelling product offer and we are confident that our customers will show continued interest in the brand. In addition, we will continue to have compelling offers for our customers out in the markets.

保固方面呢？
A:For the cars already owned by valued customers, warranty coverage will be provided. Should a claim arise during the reorganisation period, customer claims will be handled as they have been in the past.

Q:Can customers count on warranty to be valid for the full duration of the warranty period?
車主能夠指望在保固期間內的申請都有效嗎？
A:During the reorganisation period, the claims will be handled as in the past.
