I thought my tiny Elise is noisy enough that I have to be light on the throttle (gas pedal) when driving in/out of our community... And I can hardly talk without yelling when driving on the streets with top off :)

Heard lots of people saying Lotus factory "stage-2" is super loud - you may wanna check it out if that suits you need??

Yes, I do have similar experience while driving GTR & EVO, the sound is even louder. I can't stand more than one hour!!

I'd like to find a electric sound if it is possibly on sale!!

Yup I personally don't think this car needs any sound-related mods; it is already loud enough as-is. I would not recommend Lotus stage-II exhaust; its low-frequency resonance is far from pleasant. A few friends of mine ended up taking stage-II off. Larnini sport exhaust is reasonable. Try listening to them and talk to fellow owners before you decide -- a throaty noise may be exciting for 30 seconds but probably would be rather annoying after 30 minutes.

Removing the intake snorkel is a cheap and effective mod without increasing external decimal; it can be done with typical hand tools and would cost less than $10 USD to complete.
