A question from Don in HandhelpPC forum. Wonder if anybody has any insight into this... Thanks for sharing. :)
Relating Don's question:
"I've always wondered about the AYGSHELL.DLL that we use to get PPC
programs running on the Jornada 720 or Sigmarion III or other HPCs. The
"dummy DLL" AYGSHELL.DLL that we use is 7,680 bytes. And I've noticed
that many programs that are run with this DLL have only one menu, "TEMP",
with only one greyed-out selection, "FOO", under it. This happens on
TomeRaider, Pocket Universe, and many other programs.
The real AYGSHELL.DLL on my Toshiba e740 PPC2002 is 90,304 bytes. But of
course this AYGSHELL.DLL won't allow programs to run on an HPC. Is it
possible that the real AYGSHELL.DLL could be modified, complete with all
of its data, to run programs on our HPCs? So that we could have the real
menus that these programs use, rather than just TEMP ... FOO?"
