2) Because of the above, the sales guy looks very 無奈 when the young couple comes in and asked him about the price of GOLF because he knows that he will be spit on again.

the problem is not the pricing of golf in taiwan.
you may also search the price of golf in uk or europe.
with same options, the prices are very similar.
the problem is different income levels.
if divided by purchasing power, the price of golf should be something like ntd$350k~450k
which represents exactly its market position (folks' car).
the basic salary in the netherlands when i lived there was 1500 euros/month,
or 18000 euros per annum. in taiwan it's nt$18000/month, or around $216,000 per annum.
the starting price of golf normally falls in the range of a worker's 1-year salary.
but in tw you simply can't get a decent car with nt$216,000.
