Just thought I'd mention both the rumor of the plan being possibly scraped and the rumor of production being readied, since anything at this point are simply...rumors...and 2013 is such long ways off that anything can happen in the mean time.
That said, I do really look forward to seeing this car brought to the market as there's no more affordable mid-engined sports car ever since the demise of the MR2. The next gap up for any mid-engined fun right now is the Boxster that starts at $47k, which is simply too much for an impractical car for most people.
