Ms Ryan’s car was equipped with a manual transmission and was not affected by issues that led to recalls or service bulletins for Volkswagen’s “automatic transmissions” and “diesel fuel injectors”.
But he said he would continue fighting Volkswagen for answers, and said he had the statutory declarations of other Volkswagen drivers who had experienced similar deceleration problems and loss of power in their cars.
