英國路透社消息，由於澳洲市場數名大眾車主反饋駕駛過程中失去動力，大眾汽車公司正面臨澳大利亞政府的調查。
2011年，澳洲 GOLF 車主Melissa Ryan女士在駕車時遭遇卡車撞擊而身亡。當地媒體援引其親屬和卡車司機言論稱，事故發生前Ryan駕駛的高爾夫突然自行降速，因而導致碰撞發生。
當然, 大眾極力否認和 DSG 有關... 反正七月份, 澳洲政府的報告會出爐, 大家拭目以待吧

VOLKSWAGEN Australia has finally caved to customer pressure and will fix up to 4000 cars after receiving complaints about a wide range of mechanical defects, including engines which suddenly lose power. But the carmaker has stopped short of issuing a safety recall.

5月31日，澳大利亚基础设施和交通部宣布，对2年前的这起事故表示关注，正在展开安全调查，“交通部正在针对最近几起有关大众车辆的安全顾虑案件着手调查，以确认是否涉及到系统安全问题。”预计今年7月法医检验报告将公布，交通部称将向澳大利亚竞争与消费者协会(Australian Competition and Consumer Commission，ACCC)等有关机构提供法医报告在内的援助，ACCC具有强制召回的权限。
本案的車輛是手排，不是DSG。
