原因一: 舊款開發成本太高(Oberndorfer declared that the development costs for the previous S1 were very high, and that a new one would be too.)
原因二: 空間運用不佳導致銷售差(It offered great sportsmanship, but because of its size and the loss of space in the trunk - due to the quattro drive - it was not exactly practical. It was a hard car to sell.)

在另一篇文章有看到, 這代的A1因為增加的車室內空間, 導致引擎室空間被壓縮, 要把2.0引擎跟離合器/Quattro系統放進去也有困難了, 所以應該殘念了...
