釋出 Android 4.4.4 KitKat 小改款，從改版名稱就知道這次 Android 4.4.4 KitKat 升級幅度並不大，據國外媒體報導，這次 Google 改款主要是想要改進 Android 手機的資安問題，跟 Android 4.4.3 KitKat 升級的原因類似。目前將會從 Google Nexus 家族開始升級。
Google 釋出 Android 4.4.4 KitKat 改款，升級幅度不大，根據國外媒體報導，Google 這次改款主要是在修正資安問題，包括 OpenSSL bug、中間人攻擊 (Man-in-the-middle attack, MITM) 等可能發生的問題。
Google 會先從 Google Nexus 5 手機開始升級，此外包括 Google Nexus 4 以及 Google Nexus 7、Google Nexus 10 平板電腦等都會先升級改進，想升級的消費者可以準備升級。
