Android 2.3 to arrive in Q1 2011 on Samsung Galaxy Tab?

Galaxy Tab 有可能明年Q1 升級 Android 2.3

According to a tweet released by SamFirmware a few days ago, it seems that Samsung Galaxy Tab will receive the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) update at the end of Q1 (1st quarter) 2011. We are not sure if this is true or not but according to them this news is “based on FW and insider news”.

We all know that Android 2.3 is already getting tested on different devices such as the new PlayStation Phone and Google accidentally released a video showing how the new android OS works. And if we take into account the fact that carriers still have to update their mobile devices to Android 2.2, it makes sense to wait a bit until everyone is on the same OS.

I am sure that Android 2.3 will arrive soon also based also on the fact that Google’s CEO and Chairman of the Board, Eric Schmidt, confirmed at the Web 2.0 Summit that Gingerbread will be launched “in the next few weeks”.

Do you think there will a lot of improvements compared to 2.2? Will this update be fully optimised to work on the Samsung Galaxy Tab? We will have to wait and see.
