最近正在讀冰雪奇緣的歌詞
關於for the first time in forever有幾個問題請教
"The window is open
so's that door
I didn't know they did that anymore
Who knew we owned eight thousand salad plates?"
其中I didn't know they did that anymore的anymore該怎麼解釋呢?
整句話該怎麼解讀比較正確?

對耶
這裡面的they應該是指門會比較通順!
這裡的anymore還是"再也不"的意思嗎?
The window is open這裡的is是做動詞嗎?

The window is open, so's that door
I didn't know they did that anymore
The window is open - open 是 adjective, is 是 verb to be
they did - did 是 verb
明顯一點,如果轉換成
Tom "is" (good), so's Mary
I don't know they "do" - 肯定是有問題的
只可以說成 I don't know they "are" (good)
而且,就語意邏輯入手, window 及 door 都是死物,只可以被人打開,不能自己打開自己,如果 open 是作動詞用,應說成 They opened the window (active voice), 或是 The window was opened (passive voice);如是者,I didn't know they did that anymore, "they did" 中的 did 如果是對稱前句的 open, 則出現一個問題,did is verb, open is adjective;如果 they 指 window + door (不可能單指 window 或 單指 door, 因為這兩個都是 singular, they 是 plural),did 是動詞 (active voice), 門窗又怎能自己打開? "that"在這裡又是否多餘呢? 於是我便猜想 they 可能是指 "某些人"。由於我之前未看過這個劇集,心中便充滿迷團。之後在網絡上找到以後的歌詞 "Finally they're opening up the gates",正好對應 "I didn't know they did that anymore",我便更肯定這個 they 是人稱,不是門窗。而且,"they did that anymore" 中的 "they" 也正好和應下句 "who knew" 中的 "who"。
The window is open, so's that door
I didn't know they did that anymore
Who knew we owned eight thousand salad plates?
For years I've roamed these empty halls
Why have a ballroom with no balls?
Finally they're opening up the gates
There'll be actual real live people
It'll be totally strange
另外,就時式來看, The window is open, so's that door; I didn't know they did that anymore 中的 they 如果是指門窗的話,也是有少許問題的。window is open - present tense, they "did" - past tense。
The window is open / so's that door / I didn't know they did that anymore / Who knew / we owned eight thousand salad plates? / For years / I've roamed these empty halls / Why have a ballroom with no balls? /Finally they're opening up the gates / There'll be actual real live people。用來磨練文法,未必得宜。例如, For years I've roamed these empty halls - 根據正統文法,主語正常情況下應該置前,即是 I've roamed these empty halls for years. 一旦如此修改,Who knew / For years 的節奏效果便會失去,下句 halls/balls 的押韻亦不復存在。
純粹個人觀感,文法分析如有錯失,還望包容。
