1. 基本原則是, +the表是指定那個, 不加表示通稱. 在"深度討論前", 我們先看兩個例子.
2. 有些名詞號稱要+the, 例如sun, moon.
The sun (moon) rises in the east. 太陽(或月亮)從東邊升起.
其實這並不是真理. 這裡的sun, moon指的是我們這顆太陽, 這顆月亮, 所以要加the. 但是
There are many suns in the galaxy. (銀河裡有很多太陽/恒星), 這裡的sun就不用.
因為是通稱.
3. 回到樓主的問題. 我想應是意義不同.
The sun and plantes interact with each other. (太陽和行星互動).
sun是指定, plants是通稱.
The sun and the (inner) plannets interact with each other. 太陽和特定的行星互動).
加個inner會比較清楚. 太陽和內圈行星(如金星水星)互動.
4. 我另外想到是如果A+B變成一個成對的名詞, 可以一起加+the.
The knife and fork (set) costed me $100. 這刀叉(組)花了我100美金.
The kinfe and the fork (together) consted me $100. 這支刀和這支叉(共)花了我100美金.
5. 最後只是一點小建議. 英文應該倒過來唸. 我的意思是當你看到有句話是the sun and plantes / the sun and the inner plantes時, 你能掌握意義. 我真的不認為需要 the A + B, the A + the B是什麼這般糾結.
