Z5 Premium E68XX Root Method

刚刚在XDA看到了大神发布的新版Rom还有支援E6883的Root Patch. 不知道有没有有人尝试呢？

以下为XDA的尝试记录，看起来不错的样子：

Good news for z5 Premium Dual here.

I was brave enough to test RomAur firmware on my device and succeed. Thats why i would like to make a step-by-step guide for those who are afraid, as the status for E6883 was "untested"

Hope you will find it helpful.

Device: E6883
Stock : .107
UNLOCKED bootloader

First of all i downloaded all needed files, which are

1. RomAur.zip --> look at 1st post
2. Patch.zip --> look at 1st post
3. SuperSU.zip -> here
4. Kernel and Twrp => here ##BE AWARE THAT YOU MUST download kernel and TWRP image files for E6883. Double check. It's IMPORTANT!
5. ADB and Fastboot
6. Device driver - here

After installing all needed drivers, open the command line inside that folder where you place boot.img and twrp.img files

1. Power off your device and boot it in fastboot mode ### Hold VOL UP and connect the usb cable

2. Do as shown below, one command per line.

fastboot devices ## checking, should show your serial number
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img ## i have changed the long name from download for an easy use.
fastboot reboot

3. After Sony logo shows, wait for a LED signal and press VOL UP. ----> The TWRP menu will appear.

4. Place SuperSU.zip, RomAur,zip and Patch.zip on sdcard and mount it inside TWRP.

5. Install SuperSU.zip ----> reboot ---> You're device is rooted!

Double check that the root has succeed and reboot back to recovery.

6. IMPORTANT STEP! ---> Make FULL BACKUP including TA PARTITION and save it on sdcard ( even better to make a copy and save it on yout BB )

7. When Backup is done, make FULL WIPE, everything except sdcard.

8. WITHOUT A REBOOT, install RomAur.zip -> wipe dalvick -> install Patch.zip -> wipe dalvick --> reboot

Cross your fingers and if you make everything as i said your device will boot without a problem. Be aware that 1st boot could take some time, as i know it's due to deodex.

I didnt try to install it without wipes because i could always restore my data using Titanium ### which can be installed right after rooting

I havent tested this ROM in depth but it seems to work as intended, maybe need to make few changes in build.prop for better exp.
