In a further sign that the Japanese-bound Sony Xperia GX (SO-04D) will see an international release, the LT29i ‘Hayabusa’ which is thought to be the same phone, has passed through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the United States. The filing doesn’t reveal anything juicy such as external photos or a manual, although it does suggest the Sony LT29i will have a pentaband 3G radio capable of HSPA speeds.
Its presence at the FCC suggests that Sony is still planning to release the handset to a wider audience. It is worth noting that this filing is different to that of the Xperia GX that already passed through the FCC last month. The Sony Xperia GX (SO-04D) is due to launch on NTT DoCoMo in Japan shortly. It will have a 1.5GHz dual-core MSM8960 chipset with Adreno 225 GPU, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, microSD memory card support, 4.55-inch display with 720 x 1280 resolution, 13MP camera, 1.3MP front camera, 1700mAh battery, MHL and NFC.
