Battery Life
This is definitely a situation where what appears on paper doesn't translate to real life; the 2300mAh battery on the HTC One easily outlasts the 2600mAh battery on the Galaxy S4.
When surfing the Internet on 4G LTE for more than an hour, streaming a 90-minute Netflix film, driving up the GPS for 30 minutes, making several phone calls, and taking a bunch of still pictures as well as 1080p video clips, the HTC One easily lasted 7 hours. Without heavy use, we have easily been able to go a full day without having to recharge the battery.

The Galaxy S4's battery life is mediocre, at best. When doing the same exact things we did with the HTC One, the battery lasted about 5 1/2 hours. Most people will not be able to go through a full day without having to recharge their Galaxy S4. It's important to note that the Galaxy S4 -- unlike the HTC One -- has a removable battery so users can easily switch batteries when the initial one runs out of juice.
