從內容看起來, HTC似乎就是這麼打算, 一般HTC並不放出RUU
這個RUU的標記是release而非test, 所以應該不是什麼測試或搶鮮版

應該可以解讀為, 因為這個更新移除了一些原有的內容而促使必須要用自行下載RUU的方式
我認為沒有OTA的最大原因是為了爭取空間而捨去的電信商軟體
一但用主動的方式, OTA, 來進行更新, 那便是直接得罪全球有合作的電信商
然而採取在開發者網站提供RUU, 並聲明這是提供給開發者使用的, 就簡單的避開這個問題
讓使用者自行決定是不是要更新, 滿足使用者的需求; 也不與電信商起衝突, 維持良好的合作關係
最重要的是, 這個結果, 讓一般使用者得到夢寐以求的無電信商軟體版本!!
爭取空間的方式很像Wildfire S部分軟體或桌布雖然沒有預載, 但是可以在HTC Hub中下載

1.手機充飽電，50%以上。
2.使用原廠的USB線連到PC，選擇充電模式即可。
3.USB驅動程式要裝，先前有用過HTC SYNC的，驅動程式都已經裝好了。
4.解開壓縮檔，會解出一個HTC Desire Android 2.3 Upagrad資料夾，把資料夾放在桌面就好。
5.資料夾內有兩個檔案：
PDF檔是使用說明，有空可以看看。
RUU_HTC Desire Android 2.3 Upgrade是執行檔，點選這個即可。
然後依照指示，一路跑下去，大概5-10分鐘，就會指示完成升級，然後就像一台剛買的新機，重新設定手機吧。
我是使用WINDOWS 7 64bit。
已經更新完成12個小時，目前用來很平順，天氣時鐘會眨眼翻頁，很有趣。
從Quadrant跑分與實際使用來看，有比較快。
當然，最大的好處是砍掉大量的客製軟體，省掉非常多空間，對於不想刷機又需要更充裕記憶體空間的使用者來說，非常實用。
