Taiwanese version of HTC One S said to launch with dual-core 1.7GHz S3 processor
Retailer ePrice is telling an interesting story about the version of the HTC One S earmarked for the manufacturer's home country of Taiwan. While most of the specs line up with the phone's international model, there is a change under the hood. Instead of the extremely popular (by manufacturers) dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor produced with Krait cores using the latest 28nm process (MSM8960), the Taiwan variant of the HTC One S offers an older dual-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 processor (MSM8260).
While HTC hasn't confirmed this, the manufacturer seems reluctant to even reveal which CPU is powering the HTC One S in its own back yard. On HTC's web site, all it says is that the phone has a dual-core processor. There has been speculation that a shortage of the S4 chip is to blame. For it's part, HTC says that the device will perform the same as the international model and will offer the same battery life (with the same 1650mAh cell) as the latter model even though the S4 processor has been touted for its improved power management.
If you live in Taiwan, the HTC One S will be in stores in a matter of days.

怎不直接上網買國外版就好呢？
還是說國外版OneS在臺灣無法用？
所以個人結論是…
打從一開始不管S3或S4
都沒考慮入手OneS的人一堆。
反正嘛…真正會買的還是會買。
我本來要入手OneX淘汰我的Sensation
但看國外評價一致OneS大勝…想說就等OneS
雖然我是不在意S3或S4，但看大家吵成這樣…
我先看第一批人用的如何吧！
若真的效能有差…我會去買OneX了
不過小弟我是相信效能一定不亞於國外版。
還有，買國外產品本來就沒有所謂的保固問題
除非是有代購店家或之類的願意附保固才會有。
麻煩工讀生&鬧事的分身離開好嗎…？
