雖然台灣還沒有正式引進蘋果iPad，但大家應該都已經多少聽說它偶而會過熱，以及可能發生連線不正常的情況。目前蘋果官方已經針對此現象提出一些可行的辦法，或許能試著解決連線上的問題。
根據蘋果在4月5日所釋出的線上支援說明內容，在某些第三方廠商所設計的雙頻Wi-Fi路由設備上，若同時設立了兩組相同網路名稱，或是個別設定不同的安全性協定，那麼就會導致iPad無法從休眠狀態中或重新啟動後恢復正常連線。
蘋果提出建議如下：
01.分別針對不同的網路設定個別的名稱，例如在802.11b/g網路名稱加上「G」，而在802.11n網路名稱加上「N」。
02.確定所有的網路都使用相同的安全性協定 (例如統一使用WEP、WPA或諸如此類的安全性協定)
若還是有連線上的問題，蘋果建議直接重置iPad上的網路設定 (「Settings」 → 「General」 → 「Reset」 → 「Reset Network Settings」)。除此之外，也建議確認網路設備的韌體是否維持在最新的狀態。
不過，若是這類狀況仍持續發生，不知道蘋果是否會緊急推出更新韌體解決，或者是針對硬體提出召回更換的措施 (假使確認為硬體設計問題的話)？

This has rendered many of the features of the £326 device useless.
Hundreds have posted comments on Apple's website saying they cannot get a wi-fi signal and that they are having problems re-charging the battery and uploading applications.
Others complained that their devices were overheating and the screen was showing a message that read: 'iPad needs to cool down before you can use it'.
