iPAD mini 以目前的功能跟規格來說價格已經不低。APPLE的問題出在 IOS一開始規劃就沒有針對不同螢幕規格規劃resizing功能，所以只能以1024X768 為base做螢幕的解析度的整數倍數增。以目前的IOS架構來看唯一的選擇是2048X1536、這個規格目前以7.8寸而言還是貴而且有極高的量產良率問題。

這個年度Tim cooks 在ipad3/ios6都闖了大禍，APPLE 股價跟市值及市佔率都大跌，短期內他不太可能還敢再冒自己職位的風險，提供消費者新技術而有創意的東西。下面的高層已經都被cooks 砍了當墊背了，再出錯APPLE的董事會不可能不處理Cooks的!短期(一年)應該不會有iPAD mini retina.

5吋做的到1080P ipad mini為什麼不能retina?

iphone5是 retina也沒多重為什麼ipad mini不行?

事實上很多條件是trade off

要換retina就是更耗電需要更大的電池

更大的電池就是會更重

而且換retina 電池變大換A6 也都會讓成本變高

你要一個更重有retina A6的 ipad mini嗎?

咦這不就是ipad4嗎

也許以後的技術是可以克服但是目前不行

如果目前就能辦到那ipad4應該會用A7而不是A6

其實成本跟賣價才是最重要的因素。如果大部分的消費者願意用兩萬多塊買一台 iPAD mini retina 那現在應該就能做得到!

An iPad Mini With Retina Display Is A Question Of 'When,' Not If
It's a big fat super-sized edition of This Week In Apple Rumors, covering one whole month of specious reasoning and wildly un-sourced reportage. Let's get things started quick, with the most inevitable Apple rumor of the year.

Remember when Apple unveiled its iPad mini, and it didn't have a high-definition "Retina display," even though other 7-inch tablets from competitors did have high-definition screens? As night follows day, you knew that Apple was going to come out with a Retina iPad mini at some point, didn't you? And that it was going to be sooner than later?

Yeah, we're already hearing rumblings of just such an iPad mini with Retina display, supposedly coming in 2013. Dueling reports out of China -- neither of them convincing in their authenticity, but widely circulated nonetheless -- found that Apple's suppliers were already readying the high-def displays for a Retina iPad mini, apparently for a launch sometime next year. One of the reports, from MENAFN (via MacRumors), puts the target release date in the fourth quarter of 2013.

We'd rank this one as highly likely. You're going to see an iPad mini with a Retina display and faster A6 processor next year, starting at $329, as sure as shoeshine. It's a question of when, not if.

Me too.
5吋的都1080P了，kindle fire 、Nesux 10 也都超越視網膜了，想想，6、7視網膜過幾個月，三星大概就會退出了，可能下一代Note 3就會是6吋1080P
