是的，在英文的日系手機討論版已有人詢問過，而一位專賣日機給外國人的賣家回覆說：
「I unlock about 50-100 phones a week, and I can tell you that the sharp android smartphones have issues with the unlock. You need to basically put in a docomo simcard, connect to the docomo 3G network, make a call, and also access the internet etc at least one time. Then power down the phone and put in your non-docomo sim. That should solve your problem」
