最近買了一片 Intel X550-T2 10G網卡! 原先以為有支援 2.5/5G速率, 買來安裝後發現只支援 2.5/5G, 後來上網查! 發現要更新Fireware 才能支援, 但是查了半天沒找到這Fireware, 打算請電腦公司幫忙跟供應商要! 但是! 擔心要不到同時速度也比較慢! 所以上Mobile01來求救! 看看! 有沒有哪位先進有這個經驗了

因為開發產品需要建構不同的測試環境,需要10G/5G/2.5G/1G等不同速率!
就目前所知, 因為WLAN的發展到了802.3ac 如果是3*3 MIMO、Wifig速率1.3Gbps如果是 4*4 MU-MIMO 2.166Gbps 如果AP使用 10G技術覺得太貴(例如Intel X540單Port RJ45網卡還要NT$14k左右), 如果是用1G, 就變成有線網路是瓶頸, 所以就發展出5G/2.5G的有線網路(用網路線非光纖, 原先有NBASE-T,MGBASE-Tx兩個聯盟, 去年IEEE 整合成802.3bz標準)目前如果, 以華碩可以支援2.5G/5G的 XG-C100C 10G有線網路卡價格不到4K, 大幅降低,目前推出晶片方案的以Aquantia最積極, 同時Intel Marvell Broadcom都有, 只是目前在PCIE網卡上只看到Aquanti與Intel, 兩家有產品,為了搶市場聽說晶片廠都是先以10G晶片降速產生, 例如Intel X550這晶片原先就是10G晶片, 要Firmware 才能同時支援10/5/2.5/1G/100M, 不過有看到 Aquantia已經有出AQN-108 只到5G/2.5G的晶片, 另外國內的晶片商在今年底也會有產品出來了!相信價格又會下來了

對! 我任為的就是這個! 昨天公司配合的電腦公司問Intel的代理商(我特別確認是否是Intel的公司貨, 擔心不是可能也不行)還是提供給我Driver網址, 剛剛上網找到了Intel 網站有註明10/5.0/2.5/1 GbE (NBASE-T in Linux Only)https://ark.intel.com/zh-tw/products/series/75020/Intel-Ethernet-Controller-X550-Series
支援的Linux作業系統有 FreeBSD 10.2, Linux RHEL 6.7, Linux RHEL 7.1, Linux SLES 11 SP4, Linux SLES 11 SP4-IA64, Linux SLES 12, Linux Stable Kernel version 2.6/3.x, Linux Stable Kernel version 4.x; 對Linux的作業系統不太熟! 下週再找工程師試看看

even though ethtool will not display 2.5 Gbps or 5 Gbps as "Supported link
modes" or "Advertised link modes." These speeds are only available through
unmodified auto-negotiation. You cannot use ethtool -s advertise to force
auto-negotiation to advertise 2.5 Gbps or 5 Gbps. If a 2.5 Gbps or 5 Gbps
link is created, ethtool will report the correct link speed.

NBASE-T speed advertisement (2.5 GbE/5 GbE) is di
sabled by default in the X550 NVM. An NBASE-T
enabled driver should be used to link at NBASE-T speeds.
Linux driver version 4.3.9 is currently the on
ly supported software solution for NBASE-T.
