設了dns會有比較快嗎?

請教各位一下
我家是中華電信光世代
在網路控制那邊有原本的區域連線跟撥上後寬頻連線
請問DNS是兩個都要設嗎?

所謂的DHCP SERVER是怎樣的架構阿?
架DHCP有何用意?

架DHCP Server的用意就是讓網路設定可以自動指派
dhcp運作時需要指定一個pool給它(可分發的網段區間)
並設定希望指派的設定(ip mask getway lifetime等等)
當使用者開啟電腦後
若主機網路設定是dhcp
則會以廣播方式詢問dhcp伺服器在哪
找到之後向它發出要求
dhcp server若還有可用ip
則會以租約方式將設定租給該電腦並留下紀錄
如此一來該主機便會設定管理者希望的網路規劃
而不需要使用者或是管理者手動指派
而管理員只要在dhcp server即可得知所有電腦ip及租約情況

當然dhcp也可以紀錄主機MAC以指派固定ip
dhcp server在公司是很重要的服務
否則管理員就要手動為每一台主機設定
變更ip時也只好一台一台更改

dhcp所提供的服務還不只些而已
實際上依公司或環境運作需求
可以作更多樣化的設定

想更瞭解可以看看wiki或google
畢竟我在這能說的也只是極少部份
所以說dhcp server都是企業在用會比較方便對吧

一般family user是不會用到dhcp server對吧!

一般家用 IP 分享器裡都有用到dhcp server.
以下是我判定設定哪個dns會比較快的方式

我拿以下幾台來做比較
1. 168.95.1.1 Hinet DNS
2. 198.153.192.1 Norton DNS
3. 8.8.8.8 Google DNS
4. 210.208.81.3 某上市公司DNS

個人得到的結論:

利用Ping dns不一定就能完全決定dns是否比較快 or慢
重點還是在query回應的速度比較重要

一般如果電腦開機後就自動取得IP的,都是DHCP運作的結果。
所以一般家裡的分享器,跟無線基地台都有DHCP的功能。
除非很刻意的關閉DHCP,否則預設都是開啟的。
DHCP的服務就是可以將網路的設定自動的給PC,省去很多手動設定的麻煩。

小弟再補充一下
我這邊的網路是Hinet 線路3固定ip 4m/1m
設了dns會比較快嗎?

我認為設對了,確實會比較快

但是速度增加的程度不會讓你感覺得出來
因為dns只有在你輸入完domain name之後,按下[Enter]的當下查詢會用而已
其餘時間都是你的電腦直接與目的地主機進行連線

好吧!
也許你會說在網頁中點選連結的時候還是會用到dns連線
沒錯,但是如果每次差異只有那麼幾個毫秒
可能要數萬次的click才能累積到1分鐘的差異
一般人很難查覺出單次點擊時的時間差

其實樓上就有人做過測試,使用isp業者提供的dns就很ok了
不必再去設定其它外部dns
