關於RAID卡,和MB的SLOT

我使用的主机板是a75ma-g55,翻MB說明書第二條16X的SLOT只是PCIe 2.0 4X
我打算用3個HDD架RAID5,以後最多用到6個HDD,應該還沒到PCI-E2.0 4X的上限,

本想用 Dell PERC 5I 或6I,這2張好像是PCIe 1.0 8X的卡
那這2張卡,可以在這張MB上工作嗎?

Dell PERC 5I 或6I,如果可以在4X工作,
上限就只有 PCI-E1.1 版的 1GB左右,但好像沒被HDD逼到極限(150MB*6=900MB)

對我來說,
是另找PCIe2.0 4X的卡來裝較好?
還是找DELL這2張PCI-E 1.0 X8的卡就可以了?

請各位達人推薦一下CP值高的卡,感謝

所以下面是說把PIC-E 8X的卡裝在16X的槽中,以4X工作沒問題?
只是如果HDD太多時,可能會被4X限制住?

1. The 4x slot is it as large as the 16x slot.


2. Since you said you were worried about data loss, you will be using either RAID5 or RAID6 which means your array likely won't be pushing more than ~6Gbps, about a third the x4 slot's bandwidth. So unless your controller has a quirk that makes it require a x8 slot for operation, there should be no problem with using x4
