最近常與朋友傳檔案
對方是用WINDOWS的MSN
我則是用Adium
一個40MB的RAR要傳4小時多....
有沒有辦法可以讓傳檔案的速度快一點
（我家網路是8M的寬頻網路）
這實在慢得太誇張了＠＠

Why is MSN file transfer so slow?
MSN file transfers in the protocol supported by libpurple go through the Microsoft server. They are therefore very reliable but also quite slow. MSN7 and other MSN clients support a direct person-to-person transfer as is used in AIM, which is not yet supported by libpurple.
The libpurple developers don't know if or when they will ever support any of the peer-to-peer file transfer methods available in the MSN protocol. Therefore we don't know if or when this will make it into an Adium release.
意思是說
目前 Adium 傳輸檔案的時候，都要經過微軟的伺服器，所以在傳輸時多少會受到限制
但微軟官方 MSN 7 以上的版本就沒有這樣子的問題（他們是使用者直接傳輸檔案給另外一個使用者，不需要經過微軟伺服器確認，其實就是點對點傳輸）
Adium 是由一個叫做 libpurple 作為核心下去開發的，但這個 libpurple 沒有提供點對點傳輸，所以他們也沒辦法去處理這個問題，也許未來的版本會改善
(我的英文不太好，所以大概能理解的地方只有這樣子，內容有謬誤，請各位大大幫忙修改，謝謝)
所以我個人建議，建議架設 FTP Server 做資料傳輸
除了會比較快以外，也不容易受到限制
