Macbook 2.4G vs. Macbook 2.0G

I know some people are debating between these model. The price difference is around $300 USD. Is it worth the difference? I happened to have both Macbook with me to play with (one is mine, the other is my GFs). so i would share some of my point of view and hope you can make better decision.

As you already know, there are 3 difference between these 2 model, 1. faster CPU, 2. Bigger HD, 3. Backlit keyboard.

1. CPU: on 2.4G, it use P8600 with 6-9X multiplier. If you want to use Coolbook or RMClock to undervolt your Macbook, this should be the one to get. I was able to undervolt to 0.925V at 1.6G and at 1.050V at 2.4G, The undervolting really lower the power consumption and temperature. On the 2.0G model, it make less sense because you only have 2 setting, one at 6X, and the other at 7X.

2. HD: Hard Drive are super cheap nowadays. this is not a big advantage.

3. Backlit keyboard: i guess for this one. a picture is worth a thousand words.

my gf said the backlit is for geeks. I guess that would be me.

other findings,
Anandtech first reported the battery life is only about half of what they can achieve in OSX. This is actually TRUE! I'll share some of my observations.
1. Under Windows, the nvidia chip seems not be able to adjust power consumption. It feel like the GPU/Chipset is running full power all the time.
2. The entire notebook is notifiable hotter in Windows XP
3. You CAN download driver from Nvidia's website and update the graphic driver. but the powermiser is not working.

You mean in Windows Environment, you can only use your macbook for 2.5hrs only? Vista or XP?
Window XP. I expect Vista to be similar.

my guess is... XP and Vista is a "one program for all" approach, so they may not be able to optimize for one particular hardware. (unlike Apple, they can tweak and optimize just about anyway they want)
One question: can you adjust the keyboard backlight brightness? I find it too strong for my taste. Kinda blinding in late nights.

And is there any considerable performance difference between the two?
