Adobe承諾將提高Flash Player在Mac平台上的運行速度。
據國外媒體報導稱，Adobe首席技術官凱文·林奇表示，「在硬件配置相同的情況下，Flash Player在Windows平台上的運行速度高於Mac」。Adobe和蘋果一直在合作，提高Flash Player在Mac平台上的運行速度，「我們在Flash Player 10.1中採用了Core Animation，CPU使用率將進一步降低，我們相信，Flash Player 10.1在Mac平台上渲染圖形的速度將高於Windows」。
Flash Player 10.1在Mac平台上處理視頻的速度也將得到提高。林奇表示，「視頻渲染也是我們重點關注的一個領域，例如，在配置時鐘頻率為1.8Ghz處理器的 Mac Mini上，在Safari瀏覽器中播放480p視頻時的CPU佔用率約為34%，在相同硬件上，在通過BootCamp運行的Windows平台上，CPU佔用率為16%。在Flash Player 10.1中，我們優化了Mac平台的視頻渲染性能，預計CPU佔用率將降低一半，使其在Mac和Windows平台上的視頻渲染性能相當。」
