looking at Sony USA site, HP, and Dell website, if you choose 45nm CPU, it can't give you a delivery date yet. (just said "backordered")
my guess is that we will see the update in late Feb, or even March the eariliest.
if you are talking about the new CPU with build in memory controller, i don't think it will update in May (which make no sense, when Intel just release "new" cpu in March) i would kinda think we will see the update agin in September or so.
