突然很想問一個問題.......

前幾天看到PC版的新裝置有PCIe的SSD.....我想這個可以用在新的MAC PRO進去嗎??

因為我看過MAC的官網....它說MACPRO是用PCIe的SSD (雖然只有256GB)

Just wait for OWC to reveal the PCIe SSD upgrade for new Mac Pro. I wouldn't risk it unless it's fully tested.

so u not suggest to add extra PCIe SSD into the machine? i just wonder if there is any space for me to insert ordinary HDD inside plus my external HDD as storage

by the way how would u use this mac pro for? i just think of multi-use and multi-tasking between swapping mac and windows 7+8 with vmware and other stuffs

oh....

已經沒人可以答我了...

那我再開另一個問題給大大們幫忙

平時我用WINDOWS 7 和 8, 要用autocad, revit, photoshop等等的
當然我都會用BT下載.....
我都看過其他大大的留言有什麼可以代替品

還有其他建議可用的嗎??

I wouldn't suggest you to upgrade the PCIe SSD of new Mac Pro at this moment. I acknowledged that Mac Pro's logic board requires certain type of SSD. Don't risk yourself unless you find some successful case regarding this matter.

I'll use new Mac Pro for DAW if I purchase one.

Stay with PC for all if your application may be the best solution. The i7-4960x has more than sufficient power for your need; You don't need XEON or a Mac.

FYI:
Pro users only use system disk(Main SSD on Mac Pro) as system disk to store OS and applications, and have external HDD or HDD array for projects, media and other contents. 256GB for system is more than enough.

I have a 240GB SSD as system, couple external SSD's and HDD's for my other storage & backups via thunderbolt.

i just impressed of its small size case as a mac pro.....thats why i wonder if this machine may compatible for my daily use, even as my multi-tasking and video editing some day

i quite concern of the spacing right now as i wanna upgrade my system, my existing one is an all-in-one PC and may not possible to upgrade part of it

The latest iMac i7 has almost equivalent performance of the entry level Mac Pro, plus iMac has a gorgeous 27" display. iMac's ram is user serviceable and up to 32GB. It's a better value than Mac Pro.

For storage solutions for all Mac's, external storages via thunderbolt or USB 3.0 are good choices.

My suggestions will be:
1. buy the new Mac Pro if you're earning money with it.
2. buy the iMac if you're an enthusiast for the next 3 ~ 5 years.

Mac Pro will be refreshed in at least 2 years. The rule of thumb: don't buy the first generation of everything if you have no where to spend the money or you really need it.
