Apple To Drop iMac & Mac Pro??
At Apple’s World Wide Development Conference last week, news of the latest Macbook Pro upgrades for 2012 were announced. The strange thing was that the new iMac & Mac Pro upgrades weren’t mentioned on stage. Though updates are supposed to be coming this year to these ranges, this seems to be a small ‘upgrade’ not the full revamp. Rumours have the new versions pushed back to 2013. There is even talk of the iMac & Mac Pro being dropped altogether. I feel this would a strange step as the business world using iMac’s & Mac Pro’s would have to switch to MacBooks for further upgrades (Larger screens used by business will be a huge loss). Apple may be heading for a full mobile market, with the new operating systems working better with each other and with iOS 6 and Mountain Lion released soon, the iPad, iPhone and Mac’s will all have a similar look and functionality across the board. Maybe this was part of the ‘Steve Jobs Plan’ though it seems to be happening rather quickly.

在上星期的蘋果世界開發者大會，蘋果宣佈了最新的 2012 Macbook Pro 的升級。 但奇怪的是新的iMac 和 Mac Pro 升級計劃卻在大會中支字不提。 雖然升級應該會在未來的今年，但應是小小的修改而不是完全的大規模的升級。傳言（謠言）說新的版本會推出在2013年。但甚至有談論說iMac和Mac Pro的存在將會下降（我不知這樣翻對不對，還請高手指點，指點）。我感覺奇特的是公司行號使用iMAC 和 Mac Pro 會轉而升級使用MBP 來代替（公司行號使用大營幕將會是大損失)。蘋果也許將全力發展在移動裝置上，Apple已經將快上市的山獅系統和iOS6 有更好的整合， iPad, iPhone 和 Mac 將會相似的介面和功能能相互應用。 也許這正是Steven Jobs的計劃之一，只是這計劃似乎快些實施了。
