presently, the ACC Lossless file type can't be supported by any ixxx product, even though the HD space of iPod is so sufficient...
ipod can support Apple Loseless file...
only Shuffle can not support it...cause shuffle is made by flash...and ipod is made by HD or Microdive...
so...Shuffle doesn't have lots space and Apple made it can't support it to keep the space...
Thnx all of u.

Cos i convert all my CD to ACC lossless, it will take a lot of space if i convert it to ACC again to suit ipod shuffle requirement...

So, does anyone try to play ACC lossless with shuffle?

Mayb it can play but not enough space?

Jst to confirm lah..

I m going t buy Ipod photo and shuffle 1G.......

You may take a kind of stand in middle option
That is rip your CDs to 320KB of AAC, most people cannot hear the difference between Apple Lossless and 320KB AAC

But you are the part of those which can,
you can convert the songs into Apple Lossless first, and then convert them into AAC by iTunes
But the second way will lead to another copy of the same songs.
There makes the same song play twice when you listening music on iPod Photo.

You may also go for another choice, that is purchase a iPod mini
The New Flying MacBook Pro; Seatbelts sold Separately!
HI Raymond,

I read from other post found that ipod photo will easily get hang, is it true?

I ordered a ipod photo 60g..... still considering to cancel it o not......

Really? wow, I can't hear any sound in my iPod (3rd G) if the music was ripped into AAC Lossless type. My iPod can show all album informations correctly, but cant play any song of the album. However, the song ripped to AAC Lossless type can be supported by iTunes on my computer.
