...(恕刪)"Infiniti has reportedly confirmed plans to drop the electronic steering system from its upcoming Q50S.
In response to enthusiast criticism over the feel of the drive-by-wire steering in the current Q50 variants, the company has decided to switch back to a hydraulic system rather than attempting to tune the electronic assist to provide a similar feedback.
"Some members of the enthusiast community, including the media, suggested the car could benefit with enhanced steering feel, as in more engagement similar to the former G Sedan Sport," Infiniti product-planning head Keith St. Clair told Car and Driver.
Engineers are already said to have taken the steering rack from a G37 and outfitted it in a Q50S, along with a retuned exhaust that sounds closer to the G."
